Mirago indexes are 'aware' of the geographic area which many sites address. What this means in practice is that you can select a home town or region to conduct your search 'from'. When you do this, the results which match your search expression are re-ordered based on their proximity to your location.

| Mirago offers sector specific indexes in areas such as medicine. This provides 'authoritative' results from acknowledged medical sites which are uncluttered by uninformed opinion. |

| Mirago normalises search terms from plurals to singulars, verb tenses to roots and common abbreviations to full form. This technique provides the vast majority of users with more intuitive result sets. Search terms such as 'hants software companies' and 'hampshire software company' would provide equivalent results. Mirago is not case sensitive. |
