You can choose to search Mirago with family friendly search filters engaged. To do this, switch filtering on from your
Preferences or from the
Advanced Search page.
We would emphasise that Mirago filters only provide a degree of control over primary links returned via the search engine and have no control over either secondary links within those sites or other forms of navigation within the browser. |

We currently have a three-tiered approach to filtering:
- Automatic classification by our robot software as we index a page. (This will correctly classify more than 96% of offensive content).
- Manual classification by our operations team who discover pages or sites containing unsuitable material on a continuous basis.
- Manual classification of pages or sites which are being continually reported by parents, schools or service providers.
N.B. Mirago indexes are updated every 3/4 weeks, so inappropriate content that you have highlighted will be filtered the next time that the indexes are updated. |

| Mirago content filters are utilities to reduce the risk of returning sites within search results containing offensive content. They are generally quite accurate but it should be remembered that they are purely an aid to content control and are neither comprehensive nor infallible. The search results point to Internet resources which change on a dynamic basis. |
